Date cake recipe with cake flour
Ingredients
2 cups of cake flour Sonbolat El Forat
3 eggs
½ cup of sugar
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup of crushed nuts
½ packet of cream
¼ cup of oil
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
¼ cup of dates, soaked in hot water and pitted
Toffee sauce for garnish
How to prepare
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In the electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the eggs, sugar and oil for 5 minutes, or until you have a light-colored mixture.
Add the cream and whisk again, nuts and cinnamon, then whisk again.
Add the dates gradually while mixing, then add the baking powder and flour gradually as well, and continue mixing until you have a homogeneous mixture.
Grease a tray with oil and sprinkle with flour, pour the mixture into the tray, then put it in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the cake is done.
Decorate the cake with toffee sauce and serve it.
